School Exchanges

The school exchange began 2 years before the sister city relationship was formalised. Each year a group of about 15-20 students from each of the 3 Junior High Schools in Sugito visit Busselton in July / August and selected yar 9 students from Busseltonl make a return visit to Sugito in September / October where they enjoy a home stay and activities organised by their host school. In Busselton these usually include whale watching, camping out, visiting the Wardan Aboriginal Centre and a local wildlife park to see kangaroos up close.
